Fate plays: Heal-Om Festival 2012

Boring Sundays welcome spiritual stop-overs like these. The fact that I chose it over another unpaid magazine shoot just proves how unfulfilled I am by unprofitable modeling

JM with mother earth to welcome us in the OHM venue at White Space events place, Pasong Tamo Makati City

Good thing JM dragged me to this gathering of organizations involved in healing, yoga and natural foods ‘coz I was able to network for Cocogreen and Co (Cocogreen.ph).

San Antonio Makati Temple Buddhist Representatives

They had the best concession in the event, although I must note it was pretty bland compared to seasoned vegetarian caterers.

Vegetarian temple cookbook reference which I will get when I visit their temple. Not bad for P1,500 We made friends! Already plan to visit their temple to try the vegan Sunday feast A cup of healthy vegan shabu-shabu for P50. According to JM we had an extra fill which may be because we look so eager to be a part of their gatherings

Presidential delegate for peace process. Would have seemed more sincere if we actually saw government representatives

Angel reading: The cards revealed that I am seeking my path back to God and like a fool I will be led there. My guardian Angel was Uriel, the one who sheds light into the dark to illuminate my path.

Islam studies booth, an effort to enlighten the none-muslim world to the real wisdom of Islam religion

JM was ecstatic to spot this one as she’s always been curious with the Muslim tradition and philosophy.

Brahma Kumaris’ Raja yoga: open-eyed meditation

I remember immersing myself in their practice when I was 19 at their Kamuning Shalla. I didnt pursue it as I found it too static. They remain the purest and strictest meditative group I have ever met though. Being a part of their group means you need to give up socialization all together as they aim for self discovery and mastery through solitude and energy purification.

Some of the practices involve celibacy and eating only the food you have prepared for yourself. This allows your energy to be undiluted.

I can bet that anyone who practices this strictly in this lifetime will have no need to be reincarnated due to lack of karma–which is exactly the point I guess.

Temple trinkets for luck, prosperity and health Gong to ward of negative energy, too expensive for P6000

I really want this as props for my zen garden, too bad it’s such a luxury.

Pranic Energy Healing

My mom is deeply involved in Pranic healing. If I didnt benefit so much from it myself I wouldnt have believed in its ability to reduce stress, relieve muscular pain and promote overall wellness as it’s methods are very unconventional and none-physical.

As a Yogin and a vegetarian cook, I of course advocate natural and holistic approaches but energy healing goes beyond all that. It’s more than a philosophy, it’s a spiritual science. She tried to get me into it but I just didnt resonate with the invisible anything. I still needed to see, touch, hear and smell something if I am to be involved in it at all. Which is why I chose Yoga and cooking, for the more spiritually mature ones though, they can already make sense of the “senseless.”

With Pranic CEO Jason a Choachuy at their Pranic booth

I met Jason through my best friend Maria. It was a curious meeting, I was running a stressful series of errands that day and had no intention of extending my night just to accomodate my bestfriend’s gimmick whims when the thought of meeting her new stranger (Jason who was then with another friend, Mike Pelayo) compelled me to oblige.

“I dont know why but I feel that I have to meet this Jason, he’ll play a significant role I just know it,” I told Maria over SMS.

“You’re freaking me out” She texted back.

Tired, frustrated but nevertheless feeling the need to go I arrived late at their ‘lil party.

It took me some time to warm-up as I still had no idea what the hell I was doing there when I had a 7am commitment the next day. Irritated, I bitched that I didnt join them so I can drink or talk.

“So what did you come here for then?” Jason asked.

“To meet you, the famous Jason Chua [Choachuy]” I replied dryly.

Not taking me seriously (I did come off as sarcastic) their conversation continued while I berated myself inwardly for still not figuring out what I came in for.

It wasnt until Jason and I got to talk that I realized why.

He was the son of the founder of Pranic healing, Master Choa Kok Sui. The philosopher my mom was obsessing about.

“Do you know that your dad has a framed photo in my mother’s room?”

His eyed went wide, but he just smiled.

“Now I get it, I was supposed to meet you for my mother” I told him. And I confessed the compulsion I felt about coming here to meet him. If he was surprised about my revelation, he didnt show it.

Apart from that momentary interjection of fate, everything else flowed normally.

Drinks, laughter, jeers and cheers until we remembered we all had work and in Maria’s case, school early the next day.

So now here we are in an event where our companies are both a part of, (Pranic and Bliss Yoga).

Yes everything is in place in this world.

Natural beauty products

Taichi Dance organization: We took part in their afternoon session. We danced into the steps of the Four elements. I didnt feel anything after but JM said her spirits rose.

Red Cross presence paved way for our VIP parking. If it wasnt for our association with them, we’d have to look for one outside the pavilion.

Ministry of Mushroom specialty natural food additives

JM taking a snapshot of one of White Space’s thought invoking poem

This gathering is more for JM than it is for me. Everything in it spelled her name. The energy healing groups, the raw food companies and even the medicinal herbs texts available. True enough, she felt so connected to everything she ended up being teary-eyed.

Art Exhibit in White Space

Good news, Red Cross President John Tiong expressed interest to organize another similar event hosted by yours trully, Cocogreen and Co. Daunting task, but too interesting to pass-up.

Now off to my real-life work.

Im late!
