Sunday feast at the Harekrishna temple

What do Bliss Yoga babies do on a lazy Sunday?

Hunt for free food!

So when we were invited for a vegetarian buffet by our Harikrishna friends, we jumped at the chance.

Donna beside the Harikrishna vegetarian bakery

We purchased the vegetarian burger (P30), vegetarian cookies (P50) and the pita breads (P50) later on. Donna loved them all but I only like the vegetarian patties and the pita bread as the cookies had milk which ended up ruining my stomach.

Curious and hungry… we come in their lair Our welcome attendant Hari krishna kitchen, preparing the Sunday feast

Kitchenware for mass cooking

Im seriously considering getting these big-ass kitchenwares for Cocogreen.ph

Whats for sale in the temple? Seeds, herbs and special spices

Eager hungry beavers

We seriously came in for the food, but we were pleasantly surprised to find out that the worship and festivities involved were even more worth it.

Chanting the Harikrishna worship

The chanting, dancing and signing was soul invigorating, we literally felt high with all the positive energy at some point in the ceremony.

With my biggest fan, a very special boy

This sweet kid kept running around the temple, and would never fail to hop on me every chance he gets. His mom apologized profusely and informed me that he was stricken with autism. He liked me for some reason, well his mom told me it was because he was drawn to pretty girls, (*uhem *uhem).

His mom trying to diffuse his excess energy

I cant imagine myself having a child of my own, much more one with a special disorder. I couldnt help but wonder what would become of this angel if his mother was to pass away. He cant work after all…

Well God has his ways, and someone as juvenile as me probably cant fathom that at this stage.

Sunday feast share

“Were gonna use our hands?” Donna asked me, horrified.

“We cant, it has soup” I answered, hopeful.

Donna getting her hands dirty, and loving every lick of it

We ended up having too much fun dipping our alcohol-clean fingers on our vegetarian feast. It was a scrumptious meal, and we were really hungry.
